Frequently Asked Questions
What is Hair Fixing?
Hair fixing, also called non-surgical hair replacement, is a process where a hair system is attached to areas with hair loss. At Lyka, we only offer non-surgical methods because we prioritize your health and comfort along with your appearance.
What is a Hair System?
A hair system is a custom-made patch where natural hair is woven onto a soft, skin-like base—usually made of breathable silicone. It blends perfectly with your scalp and allows for air and sweat to pass through, just like natural skin. These are also called hair patches, toupees, or hairpieces and are attached using bonding, clipping, or weaving methods.
How is Hair Fixing Done?
We offer three types of hair fixing based on your preference and hair condition:
Hair Bonding: A skin-friendly adhesive is used to attach the hair patch securely. It lasts around a month and requires in-studio maintenance.
Hair Weaving: The patch is weaved into your existing hair using small knots. It’s semi-permanent and usually needs servicing every 2 months.
Hair Clipping: Clips are used to lock the patch onto your natural hair. This method is removable at home and doesn’t require regular servicing.
Does hair fixing have any side effects?
No, our procedures are completely non-surgical and safe. There are no cuts, no pain, and no medications involved. We only use dermatologically tested products. To avoid irritation or buildup, we recommend a monthly service or using our self-care kit.
Why is monthly service important?
Monthly service keeps your hair system clean, fresh, and secure. We remove the patch, clean it with safe shampoos and conditioners, wash your scalp, and reapply the patch. Our adhesives are water-resistant, so daily activities—even swimming—are not a problem. We also provide care tools like soft brushes, combs, and exclusive hair products for long-lasting results.
